Cranbourne Cup heats the perfect Dream Chasers entrée

We get a magnificent entrée for the Dream Chasers festival at Sandown Park this Thursday with a belting card led by heats of the Sportsbet Cranbourne Cup.

As for a headliner, there’s too many. They are star studded with many of last Friday’s Adelaide Cup finalists getting straight back into it and there’s a handful returning from Saturday’s Million Dollar Chase semi-finals at Wentworth Park.

With seven heats the winners and fastest runner-up will progress to next Thursday’s final.

The in-form Jason Thompson kennel is out in force as expected and led by Adelaide Cup winner Excavation. Tim Zoo and Flying Zulu make the trip with him, plus Field Day who meets Matt Loch in the last – in a graded race!

Last week’s impressive winners Vincent Bale, In The Hub, Schillaci, Colac Kid and Van Wyck all return in heats.

It’s not just Cup heats to look forward to, we get another dose of Canya All Class and Ethanol Volume going head-to-head and both stepping up to the ‘700’ metres for the first time. They met last Friday night at Bendigo where Ethanol Volume was dominant.
