RSN Grey Areas: Huge show

Jason Adams and George Farrugia chat through the Bendigo Cup card, Adelaide Cup and Million Dollar Chase semi-finals.

Race caller and recently crowned Mr. Nathalia Gent of the Day, Dan Hibberd graced the team with his presence talking Bendigo Cup and his new title… Presented by Jamie Kah may we add.

Breeder and owner of Bendigo Cup contender Hotel Whisky One, Mat Vincent jumped on talk about his back flip on the sport of greyhound racing. We are talking opposed to greyhound racing, now completely imbedded in the sport.

Hear RSN’s Grey Areas every Wednesday and Friday from midday – for a laugh, opinions, latest news and tips.

George’s set at Sandown:

Race 4, Mepunga Smokey (1)
“If Smokey can lead Fred Rose, he is capable of running very low 34 seconds, or essentially breaking it. He is able to dictate terms early and be hard to beat.”

Race 6, Vincent Bale (1)
“I think Vincent Bale is drawn really well and has a terrific PB here at 29.30. He also has a good record from inside draws – even though he hasn’t won off box one. He can run around that 5.10 – 5.11 mark and hold that position and be hard to beat.”

Race 11, Mavis Tolmie (1)
“She is a greyhound I have had a punt on a number of occasions provincially and hasn’t let me down. She comes to town on the back of a good non-penalty win at The Meadows where she ran 30.16. She showed good early speed. She hasn’t had any luck from box draws, having to do it from awkward draws. I think she can hold a forward position and be hard to beat.”
