Minister for Racing, the Hon. Anthony Carbines has appointed veterinary surgeon Dr Andy Giddy to the Board of Greyhound Racing Victoria for the next three years.
Dr Giddy is currently Executive Director Strategy & Engagement at Western Victoria Primary Health Network where he is developing partnerships between primary care providers and primary care to health service partnerships.
Andy has been involved in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, strategy, and health research for the past 25 years.
He originally trained as a veterinary surgeon and still practices in emergency disease response and post bushfire response.
He has more than 18 years’ experience as a company Director across commercial and not-for-profit boards. He was also previously a member of the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria.

Andy has previously served for three years as an independent member of the Greyhound Racing Victoria Audit and Risk Committee. He currently has one rehomed greyhound and has had two previously.
Dr Giddy replaces outgoing GRV Board Member, Ms Marika McMahon.
