The Great Chase is here

The racing component of the 2023 Great Chase begins on Friday 29 September, which will see a new wave of future champions in action.

Heats of the series will be held across 11 Victorian race clubs over the coming week.

This will be followed by six semi-finals at The Meadows on Wednesday 11 October (Night) and the Group 3 Great Chase Grand Final, also to be run at The Meadows, on Wednesday 18 October (Day).

The Great Chase is open to greyhounds bred in Victoria who have had 1-5 wins, and with more than $200,000 in prize money on offer across the series, it always attracts an array of quality youngsters.

Last year’s series included the likes of Amron Dan, Dundee Rebel, Dundee Smokey, Fred Rose, Great Guy, Hector Fawley, Stealth, Tinker Norm and Volkanovski, as well as Grand Final winner All Spritzed Up.

The Great Chase, which has run since 2003, also incorporates a community component whereby hundreds of clients and carers across Victoria’s disability sector are invited to their local racetrack for a fun day out and the opportunity to share in $45,000 in cash giveaways.
