Jariah’s memorable ANZAC Day experience

A young boy enjoyed an experience to savour on ANZAC Day as part of GRV’s weekly Chase for Charity segment heard each Saturday morning on 1116 SEN and throughout regional Victoria.

Jariah, who has been battling a form of cancer known as Ewing’s Sarcoma, is tied in with Ronald McDonald House Charities, a service which provides accommodation close to hospitals for families with sick children.

On Saturday, GRV’s Louise Martin presented Jariah and his father Eric with tickets to the Collingwood v Essendon ANZAC Day clash on air, with the young Collingwood supporter excited at the opportunity to attend his first AFL game.

Two days later the pair left the MCG very happy, with the Magpies victorious by 11 points.

Ronald McDonald House is one of three charities involved in the 2022 Chase for Charity, which sees tipsters Craig Hutchison, Liam Pickering and Brent Harvey wager $500 each on a greyhound every week during the AFL season, with all proceeds being donated to their selected charities.
