Version 6 of the State Government’s Mandatory Vaccinations (Workers) Directions came into effect on 29 October and include an upcoming change to acceptable proof of a medical exemption.
From 6pm on Friday 12 November 2021, only an official Australian Immunisation Register immunisation exemption form, completed and signed by an approved medical practitioner, is valid proof of a medical exemption from the vaccination requirements, for workers who are working outside of their home.
A letter or a certificate from a medical practitioner will not be valid proof of a medical exemption after this time.
