Daily Mail: Zac’s Entity to set Warragul alight

It’s not usual for a greyhound with 1 win from 3 starts to headline a day’s racing but that’s exactly the case with potential staying superstar Zac’s Entity at Warragul on Tuesday night.

Zac’s Entity, trained by Kel Greenough, will create enormous interest when he steps up to 680m, courtesy of a sensational 29.25sec debut at Sandown Park and a last start 2nd in the G3 Speed Star (600m) at The Meadows, where he was beaten less than 1L by Collinda Patty.

Such is the hype Zac’s Entity has already created, The Watchdog has labelled his ‘battle’ against the clock as the Must Watch race of the day.

Warragul is also staging a hot restricted win final, featuring Aston Amigo (5 from 13 – 2 from 2 Trk/Dst), Invictus Jaxson (7 from 21) and Alfie Alligator (5 from 17).

Classy Dr. Madison (11 from 36 – 2 from 4 Trk/Dst) is drawn to make a winning return at her first appearance since June 27.

It’s a massive week at Healesville, with the countdown on to Sunday’s G2 Cup, and Tuesday’s meeting is a ripper, with three Members Trophy heats compulsory viewing.

Duncan (9 from 15 Healesville 300m) will meet You Fugitive (12 from 32) in heat one, while the second run-off will feature G3 Warragul St. Leger finalist Hennessey (7 from 18), Anita Sonic Love (7 from 14 – 6 of past 7) and Mr. Bob (18 from 47 – 4 from 7 Box 8).

The final heat will pit Louis The Legend (8 from 24) against Smart As Jack (19 from 49 – 5 from 11 Trk/Dst).

Rumour Is Fact (15 from 32 – 10 from 20 Trk/Dst) is another straight track specialist set to shine.

At Horsham, Zipping Martina (13 from 31) looms as a standout runner, while Fernandes (17 from 61) is chasing a fifth straight win.

The Watchdog says ?: ZAC’S ENTITY (7) is one of the hottest prospects in the sport and soon after his debut win at Sandown Park in a breathtaking 29.25sec, fans have been itching to see him step up to the staying ranks. He is still learning what it is all about, but the scratchings have definitely helped him out tonight and it should allow him to gain a clear passage in the run to the first bend. It is a very short run to the first bend and although he is seen as a slow beginner, he does have reasonable pace once balanced, so with an even getaway he should get a nice cart across from DR. MACIE (6) in the initial stages and navigate through the turn in the top two. He has only had the three starts to date and on two of those occasions he has carved out blistering overall times. However it is the run home times which have caught everyone’s attention. When he trialled around the Meadows in 34.18sec, his run home time was 12.08sec. To put that into perspective, the great Houdini Boy would come home in around 12.25sec, so if he can handle the extra 100m once he gets to town, he could take the racing world by storm. It’s a big statement, but he has every chance to become one of the greatest stayers we have seen. I know it is a lot of pressure to put on him, but those run home times are just next level and we are going to have a lot of fun watching him progress through his career. ROCK ON JIMMY (1) and DR. MACIE (6) are both talented types and should be thereabouts for most of the journey, however they are going to have to settle for the minor money. The current track record is held by former superstar DYNA CHANCER at 38.58sec, so keep your eyes on the clock throughout.

The Watchdog says ? : CHARLIE’S JAR (8) has been impressive since moving to Victoria and was a top 19.34 winner here from this draw recently. He should get plenty of room in the initial stages and will hold a straight line in the first 100m of the race. KID MALAWI (5) is never far away this track and trip and he will be very strong in the run home. The small field should suit, and a top two finish looks likely. RUMOUR IS FACT (2) is a track specialist and he is expected to make every post a winner today.
Multi price: $6.11

The Watchdog says
? :  ASTON LATHAM (3) is a serious prospect and if given clear running mid race, he should prove too strong. BITTER TWIST (7) and TOM FOR SHAW (8) are the obvious dangers, whilst we have included ALL FEAR (2) and ORSON RUBY (6) for third at value.

? $2.50 Win – CRABBY YABBY
? Healesville ? Race 4 ? Box 2 ? 350m ⏱ 12:00pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.50
Form ?  https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666538938/race/4

The Watchdog says ? : She has been impressive since resuming from a spell and beat a classy type here two runs back. With a wide runner drawn on her outside, she will get plenty of room to balance up and assume control in the initial stages and they will have a hard time reeling her in.

? $1.50 Win – MR. BOB
? $1 Win – ASTON BEL AIR             ? Lucky Longshot ?
? Healesville ? Race 7 ? Boxes 2 & 8? 350m ⏱ 12:54pm
TAB fixed odds: $6 (Mr. Bob)
TAB fixed odds: $17 (Aston Bel Air)
Form ?  https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666538938/race/7

The Watchdog says ? : MR. BOB (8) can run the hands off the clock and he is drawn to get all the breaks. It is a very strong affair, however some of the more fancied runners in the middle are expected to bunch up early, so ‘Bob’ should be able to settle in the top two and he will be very strong late. ASTON BEL AIR (2) is just silly odds. She has turned in some big performances of late and has won five of eight this track and trip. She does not have a heap of early pace, but with GUNAI REBEL (1) expected to fire through into the top two early, she will get a nice run through and she will give us a great sight at odds.

? $2 Trifecta– 7 / 1 / 5,6 (100%)

The Watchdog says ? :  ZAC’S ENTITY (7) is one of the most exciting staying prospects we have seen in some time and he is expected to give the track record a nudge. ROCK ON JIMMY (1) is suited by the smaller line-up and he can run into the quinella spot. DR. MACIE (6) is the obvious pick for third, however we have included CAYDEN BALE (5) at some value.
