Three Gippsland greyhound racing clubs and Greyhound Racing Victoria have contributed funds to a local flood-affected playgroup.
The unexpected flooding of the Traralgon Playgroup facilities, which are located in the Traralgon Showgrounds complex, saw the loss of most of the group’s outdoor toys and bike.
The group approached Traralgon GRC for assistance and club manager Steve Clarke not only quickly made a cash commitment, buts also sought assistance from the Sale and Warragul clubs.

Playgroup president Melissa Casey said the group offered space for families to connect, play and socialise.
“We rely on grants and fundraising activities and equipment in good working order,” she said.

GRV regulates the sport of greyhound racing in the state of Victoria under the Racing Act 1958 (Act), which includes setting standards and ensuring they are met by participants.
