Racing update: National Straight Track Championship

Healesville Greyhound Association will proceed with conducting the Victorian Straight Track Championship on Sunday 25 July (heats) & Sunday 1 August (Final), however competing greyhounds will now NOT progress to the National Final in Capalaba as part of this particular series.

The decision comes as Racing Queensland advises that the 2021 National Straight Track Championship (NSTC) has been postponed due to the current impact of COVID-19.

State qualifiers for the national series were due to commence from this week across Victoria, NSW, SA and Queensland, however new dates for state qualifiers and the NSTC final at Capalaba will be announced as soon as possible.

A greyhound is eligible to be nominated for the $5000 to-the-winner Victorian Straight Track Championship if it has been domiciled in Victoria for at least 76 of the 150 days immediately preceding the Nomination Closing Date (Thursday 22 July at 9am). Maidens are ineligible for the series.
