Brilliant sprinter Zipping Zarbo (26 from 55) is the best credentialled greyhound heading to The Meadows today, and she could replicate her Best of Day showing at the corresponding meeting last week.
Also at The Meadows, SA star Craggy Island (18 from 28) returns to Victoria looking to extend his current winning streak to six, while watch also for exciting prospects Perfect Product (3 of past 5), a devastating recent winner at Sale, and Osprey Phantom.
There’s also no shortage of talent racing at Ballarat tonight, including accomplished duo Playlist (G1 Vic Peters) and Rilynn Bale (29 from 59), while Black Avenger (5 from 11), who eclipsed the magical 25 seconds barrier at the track last week, lines up in an intriguing battle with Hello Keen (3 from 4 Box 1).
Collinda Beast is another greyhound to keep an eye on after he recorded a breathtaking Best of Night win first up for new trainer Jason Thompson.

The Watchdog says ?: Cracking final and after scoring in a blistering 24.98sec heat win last week, BLACK AVENGER (7) is expected to go around as favourite. He has always shown enormous potential, however last week was clearly a career-best performance and he could be one to follow in the upcoming Maturity series at The Meadows. If he spears the lids tonight, he will take a power of beating but there is plenty of pace drawn on either side of him, so he may be a little under the odds. HELLO KEEN (1) is airborne at present, and he went through the first marker in a dazzling 6.54sec before winning his heat in a slick 25.37sec. I expect him to hold the early lead tonight and he can get down to around the 25.20sec mark and that might be enough to see him get the cash. DAPH’S ASCEND (2) is yet to win here in 12 attempts but she has been placed on eight occasions and she is drawn to get the gun run throughout. Her box manners are not great, but she does possess a great turn of foot once balanced and she can reel off impressive sectionals when in the clear. TRENDING AIR (3) is an interesting runner. She is a near faultless beginner and, with a sizzling 25.12sec PB here, she must come into calculations. The slight concern with her is that she may have to work hard to cross the red in the initial stages. It should be a great battle throughout and regardless of the result tonight, be sure to follow BLACK AVENGER (7) going forward.
