TAB has come up with an AFL/Greys offer that will ‘shake down the thunder from the sky’ for Sydney Swans supporters.
The betting giant’s $3.40 proposition is for Swans’ elusive forward Tom Papley to kick 2+ goals against the Hawks tonight and equally elusive sprinter Catch The Thief to win at Geelong.
The Sydney Swans are 6th on the AFL ladder with eight wins and Hawthorn 17th with two wins.
Papley, who has played 12 games this season, has kicked 21 goals (averaging 1.7 goals per match).
Meanwhile, the Jason Thompson-trained Catch The Thief is TAB’s $1.70 favourite in a Pink Diamond Champion Sprinter heat (460m).
Catch The Thief has had 49 starts for 23 wins, 13 seconds and three thirds. He’s a four-time G1 finalist, including finishing second in the Adelaide Cup and Harrison-Dawson.
And he’s also won a G2 WA Derby and G3 Warragul St Leger and was runner-up in a G2 Shepparton Cup.
Catch The Thief has only raced once at Geelong, resulting a sizzling 25.44sec win.
The Sydney Swans vs Hawthorn clash commences at the SCG at 7.50pm, while Catch The Thief is in Race 8 Box 1 at 9.42pm.
