Shepparton Cup AFL special

If you reckon Hawthorn will beat Essendon on Saturday night then you may want to consider this intriguing offer from TAB.

The betting giant has put up $7.50 for the Hawks to win their Round 1 clash against the Bombers into champion greyhound Catch The Thief taking out Saturday night’s Group 2 Shepparton Cup (450m).

Catch The Thief is currently the favourite at $3.30, and trainer Jason Thompson is going into the race with plenty of confidence.

“I think he’s got a great chance. He’s a great race dog, he always gives his all and he’s been in races like this his whole life,” said the Pearcedale trainer, who is eyeing a fifth Shepparton Cup.

Bounce down for the Hawks v Bombers Round 1 clash at Marvel Stadium is 7.25pm, while the Shepparton Cup is Race 8, to run at 8.59pm.

You can all watch the Shepparton Cup night action LIVE and FREE from 8.05pm via GRV’s Facebook Page or through The Watchdog app.
