The Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association (MGRA) this week sent out invitations to nominate for the exclusive Group 1 Temlee (525m), Rookie Rebel (600m) & Zoom Top (725m) events to be held at The Meadows on Saturday night 15 February.
A total of 33 invitations were issued for the Group 1 525m Temlee event, along with 32 invitations for the Group 1 600m Rookie Rebel and 21 for the Group 1 725m Zoom Top – with a number of dogs receiving invitations for more than one distance.
MGRA Chairman Eddie Caruana explained what a tough job the selection panel will have ahead of them.
“This year in particular there is a great mix of established chasers as well as some very smart up-and-comers.
It will be a very tough job selecting the final fields and we thank the GRV racing department for their assistance with overseeing the selection process once again.
Trainers who have received invitations to nominate are reminded that they must nominate with GRV prior to 10am on Friday 31 January, 2020.
