You could say the world is Kilpatrick’s oyster!

And if you want to take the play on words further, he is a natural.

Trained at Nerrena by Benjamin George, Kilpatrick (box three) should prove a ‘slippery little sucker’ in a Grade Five final over 515 metres at Sandown Park tonight. What’s more, a $6540 cheque is being ‘shelled’ out for the winner.

Kilpatrick, who has won five of his past eight starts, is The Watchdog’s top selection in the race. And justifiably so, considering he also has eight wins from 22 starts to his credit – including a 29.75sec victory at Sandown Park back in February this year.

And if you would like to know where his race name emanates from… Well, his dam is Dozen Oysters. Shucks!
