Punters should reap the rewards of jumping on the Jeffrey Britton bandwagon at Sandown Park today.
The Watchdog has selected four of the Anakie-based trainer’s runners on top – including Mister Harlewood as the Bet of the Day.
Mister Harlewood, who hit a purple patch with five consecutive wins from late May to early July, is engaged in a Restricted Win Heat over 515 metres. And he’ll be attempting to maintain his perfect record from box eight, having notched two sizzling sub 30-second wins from the ‘pink’ trap over 525 metres at The Meadows.
The ‘Britton brigade’ also includes up-and-comer Martell in Race 1 (box 2) and promising litter brothers Weblec Ace in Race 6 (box 1) and Weblec Jack in Race 7 (box 3).
No doubt Britton will be keen to add to his all Victorian tracks tally of 226 wins from 979 runners this year, at a winning strike rate of 23.08%.
Check out Mister Harlewood’s slashing 29.76sec Best of Night victory (also from box eight) over 525 metres at The Meadows on June 15:
