Andrea Dailly-trained pair Heston Bale and Spud Regis have been declared fit and well to contest tonight’s Group 1 Adelaide Cup final.
The star sprinters were among 14 greyhounds involved in a serious road accident in the early hours of last Friday morning, just hours after winning their respective Adelaide Cup heats at Angle Park.
Tragically, the crash claimed the life of Big Black Mac, who had also won an Adelaide Cup heat on the night.
The $75,000 to-the-winner Adelaide Cup is scheduled for 9:23pm local time.
