Emily Unstoppable at Shepparton

Lakeview Emily won the Group 2 2025 CKH Painting Shepparton Cup in style tonight, leading all the way in front of a monster crowd at Shepparton.

The stunning daughter of Fernando Bale and Lakeview Maisey is trained, bred and owned by Team Whelan who are based in Metung.

The $57,000 Shepparton Cup, was Lakeview Emily’s 24th win from 51 starts with more than $470,000 in prize money won.

Jumping from box one, Lakeview Emily went 6.46 seconds early, stopping the clock in a time of 24.784 seconds – the second fastest time recorded over the 450 metre distance this year. Only second behind fellow Shepparton Cup contender Slick Badger (24.762 seconds).

Fernando Phil (8) put in an outstanding performance from box eight for Michelle Mallia finishing second.

Leo Bale (2) rounded out the placings in third.

Field Day (8) wins the Tony McGrath Memorial in a time of 24.839 seconds over the 450 metre trip.
