Greyhound Racing Victoria has made the decision to cancel all racing scheduled for Monday 16 December 2024 due to the extreme temperatures forecast across the state.

With forecasts indicating the vast majority of the state will be expecting temperatures of 40-plus, and after careful consideration of all available options, GRV has made the decision with a focus on both animal and human welfare.

GRV encourages everyone to plan for the management of the greyhounds and themselves in all extreme weather events and if possible stay home and stay safe.
