Greyhound racing is in mourning after the recent passing of Ray Cunneen, aged 72.

A cherished greyhound trainer, loving father, brother and partner. Ray’s passion for greyhound racing was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support touched the lives of many.

Ray’s journey in life was marked by his love for animals, especially his greyhounds, which he trained with unparalleled skill and compassion. His legacy in the racing community will be remembered for years to come.

Ray’s friends and colleagues will remember him as a man of integrity, generosity, and warmth. His presence brought joy and comfort to those around him, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

In this time of sorrow, we would like to wish his family, friends and partner our condolences and to remember to celebrate Ray’s life and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. May his spirit find peace, and may we find solace in the memories we hold dear.

The funeral will be held this Thursday from 2pm at Latrobe Valley Funeral Services – 6 Olleraton Avenue, Newborough.
