There are 13 racing clubs in Victoria including Ballarat, Bendigo, Cranbourne, Geelong, Healesville, Horsham, The Meadows, Sale, Sandown, Shepparton, Traralgon, Warragul, and Warrnambool. Clubs are responsible for facilitating race meetings, track upkeep and providing hospitality for fans and spectators who visit their track. GRV provides governance support to clubs.
GRV are responsible for project managing all aspects of design, planning, statutory approvals, and construction of diverse infrastructure projects, including to greyhound racetracks, pavilions, grandstands, and associated works. GRV are responsible for projects that ensure track surface consistency and efficient use of track maintenance resources.
Roles include Track Infrastructure & Maintenance Coordinator; Racing Infrastructure Specialist.
GRV’s Greyhound Adoption Program is dedicated to finding homes for greyhounds who no longer race. Every dog that enters the program is thoroughly temperament tested, desexed, wormed, microchipped, and vaccinated. GAP’s main facility is in Seymour, while there is also a sub-site in Tullamarine.
Roles include Adoption Coordinator; Greyhound Behaviouralist; Kennel Attendant; Veterinary Nurse.
The general welfare of participating and non-participating greyhounds is of paramount importance to GRV. Much like GRV’s Integrity team, Greyhound Welfare sets and enforces rules and regulations when it comes to breeding, conditions of living and retiring of racing greyhounds.
Roles include Administrative Officer, Projects Officer, Retirements Officer.
Throughout the year Victoria hosts many premium special events both on the racetrack and of a corporate, industry or GAP nature. Our team organise, coordinate, and promote these events. This work is supported by our marketing and communication specialists GRV maintains an active presence on Facebook (GRV, GAP & Watchdog), Twitter (@GRV_News, GAP_Vic & @WatchDogRacing), YouTube (GRVextra & GRV Vision) to help communicate and promote greyhound racing.
Roles include Communications Partner, Events Officer.
Broadly speaking, racing includes the planning and delivery of our racing calendar, the grading of tracks, the registration of participants (being owners, trainers, and breeders) and greyhounds.

GRV’s Integrity team regulates, investigates, and enforces the rules of greyhound racing in Victoria. As the Integrity team plays an extremely important and integral part of the sport of greyhound racing in Victoria, its members include people who came from diverse roles in rules and regulation management such as lawyers, umpires, referees, etc.
Roles include Steward, Investigative Steward, Intelligence Analyst, Lawyer, Industry Veterinarian.
Our Commercial, Finance, Legal & Regulatory Services, Procurement, People & Culture, Risk & Compliance, and Technology teams support GRV to deliver the largest racing calendar in Australia.

Once you’ve decided to apply for a role at GRV, submit your application through our career portal.
When applying, upload your resume/CV and cover letter (which must clearly outline why you’re interested in the opportunity and how your knowledge, skills, and experience align with the requirements of the position.

Make sure your contact details are accurate and current so we can contact you either by phone, email, or text message.
As soon as your application is received, we will review it to see if your skills and experience meet the selection criteria. We’ll let you know as soon as possible (usually by email) if you’ve been shortlisted.
We might ask you for additional information by sending you a survey, or we might ask you to book in a time for an initial phone conversation with a member of our People Services team.
After applications close, our People Services team will meet with the hiring manager to agree on which candidates to invite to interview.
Most interviews are for one hour and include behaviour/situation-based questions that relate the key selection criteria. Interviews are either in person or virtual using Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
For some roles we may ask you to prepare a presentation or complete an activity. We might also invite you to a second-round interview if needed.
Following interview, we’ll invite our preferred candidate to share their referee contact details with us.
We’ll then contact your referees to confirm you have the skills, experience and any other information that has been provided throughout the recruitment process.
We ask for a minimum of two referees (although some roles require three), and we won’t contact anyone until you’ve confirmed we can do this.
In tandem with references, we’ll invite you to complete an online police check.
We make decisions based on merit and free of discrimination or personal bias. Successful candidates will be made a verbal offer.
If accepted, we’ll prepare a written employment agreement which you’ll review and accepted through our career portal.
After accepting our offer, you’ll be invited to complete online probity declarations.
All offers are subject to satisfactory probity checks including confirmation the right to work in Australia.
You’ll be contacted by your manager in the week prior to your start day to discuss your onboarding.
Between accepting our offer and your first day, you’ll be able to complete activities through our online onboarding portal.
