TYPHOON SAMMY (2) continues to elevate his game and he turned in a gutsy performance to score in the match race on Shepparton Cup night over PAUA OF BUDDY. He meets a couple of handy ones tonight, but he should be able to pounce on the lead and prove hard to reel in. MEPUNGA MUSTANG (4) has some scorching wins to his credit, and he looks to be the likely danger. He didn’t have a lot of luck in his two Murray Bridge assignments, and he returns to a track where he has carved out a scintillating 25.55sec previously. With EARTHWORM JIM (8) scratched, KEEP IT BLUE (3) is the logical choice to finish third.
