Country Victoria hosted an abundance of feature racing across the weekend including a triple header at Horsham on Saturday.

Soda Man (Correy Grenfell) worked hard to run down Shared Bonus in the main event at Horsham, the $14,290 President’s Cup (480m).

Other feature winners on the card were Quatum Bale (Tina Womann) in the Ian Bibby HGRC President (480m), and Tambay Bale (Mark Delbridge), who won the Jan Wilson Memorial (570m).

On Friday, a week after they travelled to Richmond together for an unsuccessful crack at the the Oaks and Derby finals, trainers Jeff Britton and David Geall filled the quinella in the $14,290 Shepparton Matchmakers (450m).

Britton’s greyhound Mepunga Treasure had to dig deep to win in 25.25sec after being challenged by Geall’s Blue Westmead, who had gained a start as a reserve.

Rounding out the weekend’s feature racing was a determined win by Daryl Dixon (pictured with trainer Cameron Bahen) in the $10,700 GRV Vic Bred Final (350m) at Healesville on Sunday.

Scoring win number two from three starts, the youngster clocked the time of 19.24sec.
