Saturday night’s Group 3 Cranbourne Classic Final (520m) looks like being a hotly-contested affair after the three heat winners were separated by less than a length on Friday night.

Group race specialists My Redeemer (pictured) and Orson Allen will be the headline acts in the $25,000 to-the-winner final, however considering they were both runner-up in their respective heats it makes for a very interesting final.

The Cranbourne Classic is an age-restricted event open to greyhounds aged 29 months or younger, with the heat winners being Slingshot Hammer (30.11sec Best), SA greyhound Panhandle Slim (30.13sec) in his first run for new trainer Seona Thompson and Vixstar (30.16sec) who got up at the huge odds of $44.90.
