Are you aware of the changes to the Club Planning support days?
Geelong, Traralgon, Cranbourne and Bendigo will be conducting sessions to help participants with the Victorian Government’s planning amendments for greyhound facilities.
The new planning measures that took effect in August streamline planning approval processes for new or existing greyhound facilities providing a much-needed set of consistent and measurable requirements.
It is important to note that a facility with an existing permit may continue to operate in accordance with their permit without having to obtain a new permit or comply with new requirements.
Independent planning experts will facilitate the sessions to provide information to participants and answer questions or concerns they may have around permits in their areas.
The sessions will be held on the following dates:
Geelong GRC – Monday 8 January, 2018 at 5pm
Traralgon GRC – Wednesday 10 January, 2018 at 5pm
Cranbourne GRC – Tuesday 16 January, 2018 at 5pm
Bendigo GRA – Thursday 18 January, 2018 at 5pm
More information about the planning requirements and exemptions can be found by searching for ‘greyhound’ at: planning.vic.gov.au
GRV regulates the sport of greyhound racing in the state of Victoria under the Racing Act 1958 (Act), which includes setting standards and ensuring they are met by participants.
