Nineteen-month-old Hypnotic Trance (Lot 54) was the highest purchase at today’s Ready 2 Race greyhound sales in Bendigo, selling for $11,200.
After running third in her heat last Saturday, the daughter of Barcia Bale and Magic Potion showed her potential when winning her final on Thursday in 24.28sec over the 425 metres.
Some of the other higher end purchases today included 17-month-old Olivia (Lot 34), who sold for $4,500, while Kelly (Lot 195), who is closely related to Australian Cup winner Luca Neveelk, sold for $4,400.
Podium Babe (Lot 94), at 24 months of age, was purchased for $4,200 having won her final by eight lengths in 24.48sec and having a racing record of six starts for two wins and two minor placings.
Competitive bidding is expected at tonight’s auction in Bendigo, to take place at Bendigo from 6:30pm, and being for the 50 fastest performers out of last Saturday’s heats.
