Victoria is heavily represented interstate in the 2016 South Australian Derby tonight at Angle Park. Six Victorians will contest the 515 metre feature that will see the winner take home the $25,000 first prize and a group three title.
Pearcedale trainer Kel Greenough looks to have the favourite in the South Australian Derby with Weekend Binge who recorded the fastest heat and best of the night time of 29.47 seconds. Kel didn’t stop with one greyhound in the group three feature, Sassy Ginger puts on the green rug in his first group race appearance.

Leo’s Gift makes his group race debut tonight for trainer Robert Britton following a victory in his heat last week. Tonight he has drawn box four and the TAB has opened him up at $8.00 for the win.

Paraphernalia rounds out the Victorians in the Group Three South Australian Derby and will jump from box eight for the second consecutive week for trainer Jeffrey Guy.
